Several families have been displaced, with many migrating to Jharkhand’s Pakur district, while others have taken refuge in relief camps set up in Malda, following the unrest in Murshidabad triggered by protests over the Waqf (Amendment) Act.

Tamil Nadu Chief Minister M.K. Stalin has formed a high-level committee, led by retired Justice Kurian Joseph, to address concerns about state autonomy and federalism. The committee will recommend measures to protect states’ rights and improve Centre-state relations, with reports expected in the coming years.
