The Allahabad High Court Bar Association has condemned the transfer of Justice Yashwant Varma from Delhi High Court following a cash recovery from his residence. The association demanded a CBI and ED investigation and called for impeachment proceedings, questioning the fairness of the judicial appointment system.

The Lucknow bench of the High Court, comprising Justice AR Masoodi and Justice Ajay Kumar Srivastava, was hearing a petition filed by BJP leader Subramanian Swamy.
