It’s wedding season in the Akkineni household! Amid preparations for Naga Chaitanya and Sobhita Dhulipala’s wedding in December, his brother Akhil Akkineni got engaged to Zainab Ravdjee. Superstar Nagarjuna announced his younger son’s engagement on social media along with a romantic photo of the couple.

The ceremony took place at their residence in Jubilee Hills, Hyderabad. Akhil, too, dropped a series of photos with Zainab and wrote, “Found my forever Happy to announce that Zainab Ravdjee and I are happily engaged.”

Zainab, who is not so active on social media, is said to be from a prominent business family. She is the daughter of industrialist Zulfi Ravdjee. Zainab, 27, is a painter and has toured several places such as London and Dubai for her art.

Meanwhile, Akhil Akkineni is Naga Chaitanya’s half-brother. He is the son of superstar Nagarjuna and his wife Amala Akkineni. He appeared as a child artist in his father’s production Sisindri. He made his debut with a lead role in the film Akhil. His latest film was Agent which released in 2023. Akhil currently has Hastaara Vedavidhyam in the pipeline.

Amid recent speculation about a supposed OTT deal for Naga Chaitanya and Sobhita Dhulipala’s wedding video, a source close to the actor has denied the rumours. Reports claimed that a popular streaming platform acquired the rights to the event for a staggering sum, but the source has dismissed these claims as entirely baseless.

The couple, who have maintained a low profile regarding their relationship, are said to value their privacy deeply.
