Alia Bhatt turned 33 on March 15, and she celebrated the special day in Hong Kong. She was joined by Ranbir Kapoor and Raha for an intimate family getaway. However, the celebrations didn’t stop there. Upon returning, Alia continued the celebration with her close friends back home. In a recent Instagram post, Alia shared glimpses of a fun-filled morning spent on the padel court. Dressed in sporty gear and matching “In My Padel Era” caps, Alia and her friends were seen posing for a group picture after a two-hour session. The celebration also included a special cake with Happy Birthday Alia written on it.

In her caption, she opened up about her recent struggles with focus, mentioning her ADHD. She wrote, “birthday celebrations continue with the best best mamas/ladies playing a lot of padel. The last few weeks have been a bit challenging getting into my days with focus (hello adhd) but this morning was just everything. also there’s just something about women showing up for you (and playing 2 hours of padel because you reaalllyyy wanted to!!) feeling very grateful.”

On the work front, Alia will soon be seen in Alpha, which also stars Sharvari and Bobby Deol in key roles. The film will have a theatrical release on July 10.

He said, “I’m happy that they think I was good enough to be a part of Golmaal. Ajay is the main hero. I’m not playing the main part. But what’s wrong with it?” Akshay explained that for him, the impact of the film as a whole outweighs his individual screen time. He said, “I look at a film as a film and never think ki main kya kar raha hoon uss film mein. For me, it’s far more important what the film is setting out to achieve. If I like the story, I’ll do it.”

When asked about potential insecurities about Ajay Devgn leading the project, Akshay was quick to dismiss the idea. He said, “Mera role badhiya hai Golmaal mein but Ajay’s the hero. I’ve no insecurity. Uski koi zaroorat nahi hai.” This camaraderie was also seen during the film’s announcement video, which was released on March 14 to mark director Rohit Shetty’s birthday. The promo featured the OG squad of Ajay Devgn, Arshad Warsi, Shreyas Talpade, Kunal Kemmu, and Tusshar Kapoor, welcoming back Sharman Joshi. The surprise twist came when Akshay appeared, prompting a witty remark from Ajay Devgn: “Koi bhi franchise nahi chodta.”

Akshay also shed light on how he selects his projects. Despite his massive stardom, he remains focused on freshness and variety. He explained, “I see fresh scripts and ideas coming to me all the time. Main yeh dekhna chahta hoon ki main kya alag kar sakta hoon, kaise kar sakta hoon.” He mentioned that as an actor, one must choose carefully from the roles offered, as the rest go to other actors.
