Ajay Devgn was one of the earliest to lock in an Eid 2026 release for his comedy entertainer Dhamaal 4. But the holiday frame has become increasingly crowded in recent weeks, especially after Ranveer Singh and Jio Studios announced Dhurandhar 2 for the same date, March 19, 2026. Yash’s Toxic is also slated to arrive that day. With the box office landscape getting complicated, Ajay has decided to take a considerate step.
Highly placed industry sources reveal that Ajay Devgn and his team have now stepped away from the Eid window. A source told Bollywood Hungama, “After several rounds of discussions, and following the historic success of Dhurandhar, Ajay Devgn is not willing to take the risk of clashing with the sequel of this Aditya Dhar film. He and his team are now looking to release the film in the month of May 2026.”
The insider further added that the shift is purely a practical move, reflecting Ajay’s clarity about how the business works. According to the source, “Ajay has always been a kind who stands for the industry, and he is well aware of the fact that Dhurandhar 2 could redefine the film business for Bollywood. He is in sync with the business of the first part and doesn’t want to bring a comic caper against a film that speaks to the masses of India about the political conflicts. He feels Dhurandhar is an important franchise that deserves a clear run.”
With Eid out of the picture, Dhamaal 4 is now eyeing a Summer 2026 rollout, most likely in May. The team believes this window is better suited for a family comedy and could draw children and younger audiences to theatres in large numbers.

A prayer meeting was held in Mumbai on November 27 for Dharmendra, organized by his sons, Sunny Deol and Bobby Deol. Now, Hema Malini and her daughters, Esha Deol and Ahana Deol, have arranged a prayer meeting in Delhi, having been unable to attend the initial event. This second gathering is scheduled a few days after Dharmendra’s 90th birth anniversary.
Hema, Esha, her ex-husband Bharat Takhtani, Ahana, and her husband Vaibhav Vohra are organizing a prayer meeting for Dharmendra. This gathering is scheduled to take place at the Dr. Ambedkar International Centre in Janpath, New Delhi, on December 11, from 4 PM to 6 PM.
Dharmendra’s first wife, Prakash Kaur, along with their sons, Sunny and Bobby, and daughters, Ajeeta and Vijeta, organized a prayer meeting for him in Mumbai on November 27. This gathering was attended by many notable celebrities, including Aishwarya Rai, Salman Khan, Madhuri Dixit, Vidya Balan, Shabana Azmi, Jackie Shroff, and Sidharth Malhotra, among others.
On the same day, Hema and her daughters conducted a puja at their residence. Celebrities such as Mahima Chaudhry and Sunita Ahuja, accompanied by her son Yashvardhan, were in attendance. Esha’s ex-husband Bharat was also present. Hema and her daughters, Esha and Ahana, did not attend the prayer meeting in Mumbai for unknown reasons.
Dharmendra married Prakash in 1954, and they had four children together. He later married Hema in 1980, and they have two children. The veteran actor passed away on November 24 at the age of 89, shortly before his 90th birthday on December 8. He had been admitted to Breach Candy Hospital earlier in November.
On the occasion of his birth anniversary, Hema posted on Instagram, “More than two weeks have passed since you left me heartbroken, slowly gathering up the pieces and trying to reconstruct my life, knowing that you will always be with me in spirit.”
