The decision came days after the head of the Dera, Sant Niranjan Dass, was conferred Padma Shri, India’s fourth-highest civilian award.

The makers have revealed the official date for Dhamaal 4’s release. It will release in cinemas on July 3, 2026. The movie is supposedly a rib-tickling entertainer for audiences of all ages. It will bring together a powerhouse ensemble cast featuring Ajay Devgn, Riteish Deshmukh, Arshad Warsi, Sanjay Mishra and Jaaved Jaaferi, along with Esha Gupta, Sanjeeda Shaikh, Anjali Anand, Upendra Limaye, Vijay Patkar and Ravi Kishan. This eclectic line-up sets the stage for unrestrained madness, comic chaos and non-stop laughs.

Dhamaal 4 is known for its trademark humour, larger-than-life characters and wildly entertaining situations. It is gearing up to be a complete family entertainer and one of the most anticipated comedy releases of 2026.

The movie is being helmed by Gulshan Kumar and T-Series, in association with Devgn Films, T-Series Films, Maruti International, Panorama Studios production. Dhamaal 4 is directed by Indra Kumar and produced by Ajay Devgn, Bhushan Kumar, Krishan Kumar, Ashok Thakeria, Indra Kumar, Anand Pandit and Kumar Mangat Pathak.

Back in April 2025, Ajay had shared an update on a schedule wrap of the movie. Ajay had taken to his social media account to write, “The madness is BACK! #Dhamaal4 kicks off with a bang — Malshej Ghat schedule wrapped, Mumbai schedule rolling! Let the laughter riot begin!”

Released in 2007, Dhamaal is a comedy film helmed by Indra Kumar. It features an ensemble cast including Sanjay Dutt, Arshad Warsi, Riteish Deshmukh and Aashish Chaudhary. The storyline takes loose inspiration from Hollywood comedies such as Rat Race and It’s a Mad, Mad, Mad, Mad World.

The film turned out to be a commercial success, collecting over Rs 50 crores at the box office and went on to launch a popular franchise. It was followed by Double Dhamaal in 2011, with the third installment, Total Dhamaal, releasing in 2019.

When Mammootty took to social media on Republic Day, it was not with a promotional update or a film still, but with a message of gratitude that instantly travelled far beyond his followers. Still moving forward, not looking back

He was recently seen in Kalamkaval, sharing screen space with Vinayakan, and also made a cameo appearance in Chatha Pacha, a gesture that reflected his openness to new narratives and younger filmmakers.

His upcoming slate is just as ambitious. He will next appear in Mahesh Narayanan’s Patriot, reuniting with Mohanlal in a film that is already one of the most anticipated Malayalam projects of the coming year. The two icons coming together again has a resonance that goes beyond cinema, tapping into decades of shared history and audience affection.

Mammootty is also set to collaborate once more with Adoor Gopalakrishnan for Padayatra, a project that brings together two of the most respected names in Indian parallel cinema. Their previous collaborations are regarded as landmarks, and this reunion is being watched closely by cinephiles.

In that context, Mammootty’s Republic Day note feels less like a closing chapter and more like a moment of reflection in the middle of an ongoing journey. The Padma Bhushan honours his past, but his present and future remain just as active, just as compelling.
