Prime Minister Narendra Modi arrived in Ahmedabad on Friday and visited the site of the Air India Boeing 787-8 Dreamliner crash that killed 241 people a day earlier, one of the worst air disasters in recent times.

An Air India flight, en route to London, returned to Mumbai after three hours in air, according to news agency PTI citing Flightradar24 data. The Mumbai-London flight remained in the air for three hours after departing from the airport at 5:39 am.

Viswashkumar Ramesh, sole survivor of the AI 171 Dreamliner crash near Ahmedabad, recalls a violent jolt and the pilot’s distress call before the aircraft disintegrated. The UK-based businessman, miraculously rescued from seat 11A, now lies in hospital, haunted by the loss of his brother and the devastating tragedy.
