Ahaan Panday Transforms Into a Rugged Action Hero for His Next Big Film

Ahaan Panday is rising fast in Bollywood, and his momentum hasn’t slowed since the massive success of Saiyaara, directed by Mohit Suri. Now, he’s stepping into a new space with an action-romance film directed by Ali Abbas Zafar and backed by producer Aditya Chopra. The duo has a strong history together with films like Mere Brother Ki Dulhan, Gunday, Sultan and Tiger Zinda Hai, making this collaboration even more exciting for Ahaan’s next chapter.

As one insider shared with Mid-Day, Ahaan is “moving full-throttle into his second film, an action drama to be helmed by Ali Abbas Zafar.” The director is planning to head to the UK in December for a month-long recce, and if all goes as scheduled, filming will start in February 2026. The source further revealed that Ahaan’s debut success has played a key role in shaping the scale of this new project.

According to the same source, “Ahaan’s Saiyaara made upwards of Rs.550 crore globally. That has given Ali and Aditya Sir the confidence to go all out with his second film. For most part of December, the director will scout for locations in London, Manchester, Birmingham, and Leeds that will add to the storytelling when they are presented on the big screen. Almost 80 to 90 per cent of the movie will be shot in England.” Ahaan is already pushing himself physically to match the film’s intense demands. “His debut film presented him as a devoted romantic hero. With the second venture, Aditya sir wants to project him as an action-romance star. He has been undergoing hand-to-hand combat training and weapon training,” the source adds.

The film is also expected to feature Sharvari opposite Ahaan. The director was deeply impressed by Ahaan’s screen presence and the emotional intensity he brought to Saiyaara. Recently, Ahaan even unveiled a striking new look for the film- rugged, sharper and a complete departure from the charming romantic image fans fell in love with earlier. The transformation sparked excitement online, giving a glimpse of the more intense, action-driven avatar he is stepping into.
