Hindu American groups flew a banner in New York urging to ‘stop violence on Bangladeshi Hindus’ amid recent targeted attacks following political upheaval in Bangladesh. Activists highlight the plight of up to 200,000 Hindus affected by violence, calling for UN intervention to recognize the 1971 Bangladesh genocide officially.

Gopal Singh Bhati, after waiting 22 years, avenged his father’s death by deliberately mowing down Nakhat Singh Bhati, who, along with his brothers, had been convicted of Gopal’s father’s murder in 2002. Gopal meticulously planned the act, purchasing a pickup truck just a week prior.
