Leader of Opposition Rahul Gandhi drew a sharp counter from late BJP leader Arun Jaitley’s son this morning, over his claim that the government had sent him to threaten him against pursuing the farm law protests.

Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) leader Tejashwi Yadav claimed that his name had been omitted from the Bihar’s draft electoral roll. The Election Commission of India (ECI), however, has firmly rebutted the claim, terming it “factually incorrect”.

Sadhvi Pragya states coercion in naming leaders. A special NIA court acquitted all seven accused in the 2008 Malegaon blast case. The blast resulted in six deaths and numerous injuries. The court cited lack of evidence against Pragya Thakur. Investigations initially pointed to “saffron extremists”. The case saw twists, including allegations against the NIA.
