Two years after a toddler’s body was found inside a hidden dresser drawer at an abandoned home in Indiana, the child’s mother has pleaded guilty to two charges.

A BJP functionary, B Saranya, was murdered and beheaded near Thanjavur, with her stepson and two others surrendering to police. Authorities deny political motives, attributing the crime to a family dispute over property. Saranya had previously been arrested for throwing footwear at a minister’s car in 2022, but police maintain the murder stemmed from internal conflict.
