Former Maldivian president Mohamed Nasheed, who is in India, voiced concerns about the impact of the ‘Boycott Maldives’ campaign by Indians. He reflected on the strained India-Maldives relations and the pivot towards China by the new government led by Mohamed Muizzu. Nasheed said that relations with India will return to normal in the future as Muizzu settles down.

PM Narendra Modi will inaugurate the Sela tunnel, the world’s longest bi-lane tunnel at an altitude above 13,000 feet, in Arunachal Pradesh. The tunnel will enhance all-weather connectivity to Tawang and Kameng regions, reduce travelling distance, and address tactical military disadvantages. Earlier, the route to Sela pass had only single-lane connectivity.
