The Indian Parliament’s joint committee study tour for the Waqf Bill, originally slated for November 9-14, has been postponed. Opposition MPs had planned to boycott the trips to Kolkata, Patna, and Lucknow due to scheduling conflicts and concerns over a lack of quorum. Earlier meetings in Guwahati and Bhubaneswar were poorly attended, prompting the postponement.

The Supreme Court has directed the Delhi government to decide on a complete ban on firecrackers throughout the year by November 25th. The court emphasized the citizen’s right to a pollution-free environment and questioned the effectiveness of previous bans. It also ordered the Delhi Police to form a special squad to enforce the ban.
