BREAKING: Kannada filmmaker Guruprasad dies by suicide, body found in decomposed state in his apartment

Trigger Warning: This particular article contains information regarding the death of an individual.

Popular Kannada director Guruprasad has passed away at the age of 52. According to a report by Asianet News, the filmmaker committed suicide by hanging from a ceiling fan. His mortal remains were discovered in a decomposed state in his house in Madanaiyakanahalli area of Karnataka.

As per the report, Guruprasad lived in the house for the past eight months. Recently, his neighbors complained of a foul smell coming from his apartment and reported it to the authorities. Upon receiving the complaint, the police officials swiftly reached the spot and conducted an investigation.

After entering the house, the cops saw Guruprasad’s body hanging from the ceiling fan. The officials have reported that the filmmaker might have taken his life a few days ago. It has been speculated that the Kannada director might have been in debt and facing some financial difficulties, following which he decided to take such a drastic decision.

The Madanaiyakanahalli police have registered a case and conducting a thorough investigation into the matter to determine the circumstances that led to his death.

Meanwhile, initial reports suggest that the failure of his latest movie, Ranganayaka featuring Jaggesh, pushed him into a financial crisis. Unable to bear the brunt of its consequences, he took his own life.

Mumbai Cops Arrest 24-Year-Old Woman Over Death Threat To Yogi Adityanath

A 24-year-old woman has been arrested in connection with a threat message targeting Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, which said he would be murdered “like Baba Siddique” if he did not step down from the post within 10 days.

Mumbai Police arrested Fatima Khan after an investigation revealed that the message was sent from her number. Police sources said Ms Khan is highly qualified and has been suffering from mental health issues. The woman, it is learnt, holds a BSc degree in Information Technology, and lives in Thane near Mumbai with her family. Her father is into the timber business, sources said.

This comes after the Mumbai Traffic Police control room received a death threat against Yogi Adityanath. A WhatsApp helpline number of the control room received a message from an unknown number that said if Yogi Adiyanath did not resign in 10 days, he would be “killed like Baba Siddique”.

The latest threat message comes amid a wave of death threats received by cops in Mumbai over the past several weeks. Most of these targeted Salman Khan and threatened that the actor would be killed unless he paid a ransom. Against the backdrop of the firing outside the actor’s residence earlier this year, the cops tracked down senders of these messages and took them into custody. They include a vegetable seller from Jamshedpur and a tattoo artist from Noida. Mumbai Police have taken them into transit remand and are questioning them.

One of these threat messages named Zeeshan Siddique, Bandra MLA and son of Baba Siddique. The former minister was shot dead near his son’s office on October 12. Jailed gangster Lawrence Bishnoi’s gang has claimed responsibility for the murder.

The murdered politician was known to be close to Salman Khan, who has in the past received death threats from the Bishnoi gang, apparently due to his involvement in the blackbuck hunting case in Rajasthan during the shooting of Hum Saath Saath Hain. The Lawrence Bishnoi gang was also found to be behind the firing outside Salman Khan’s home in April. The actor’s security has been beefed up after the firing outside and death threats.

On Camera, Bishnoi Gang’s Rival Fires 8 Times At Delhi Businessman’s House

CCTV footage has surfaced showing the recent firing by members of the Bambiha Gang – the rival of the jailed gangster Lawrence Bishnoi – at the residence of a businessman in Delhi.

In the video, two bike-borne men can be seen standing outside the businessman’s house. A few seconds later, one of the men threw a chit inside the residence that read ‘Bambiha Gang’ on it. Immediately after, the accused opened fire at the house eight times before the video cut off.

The shooter also made a video of the firing – which was later sent to the United States, officials said.

The incident took place on October 26 in North West Delhi’s Rani Bagh around 8.40 pm.

According to the police, the shooters, Bilal Ansari (22) and Shuheb (21), carried out the firing for extortion of Rs 15 crores from the businessman.

On the intervening night of October 28 and 29, the Special Cell of the Delhi police was alerted that the shooters would go to the Kakrola area in the national capital to meet their associates. Following this, the police made a stakeout near the Kakrola drainage road towards Najafgarh around 2:15 am, reported news agency PTI.

When the shooters reached the area on a bike, the police signalled them to stop. However, they tried to take a U-turn but slipped and fell.

While the police team surrounded the team, one of the shooters whipped out his pistol and shot at the officials. Following this, the team fired in self-defence, during which one of the accused reportedly sustained a bullet injury in his leg.

Both the shooters were arrested.

The police also recovered a semi-automatic pistol, a single-shot firearm, and six live cartridges from them.
