After treating ARMYs to songs like Promise (2018) and Christmas Love (2020), the BTS member has yet again released a new single titled Closer Than This dedicated to fans as he completes his mandatory military service.

On Friday, Big Hit Music dropped the song’s music video on YouTube. The video opens with Jimin sitting along with the writing team, discussing the lyrics, he says, “So, this is a fan song.”
The video is a compilation of different moments from BTS’ journey, from debuting to performing on large stages. It reminisces about the special moments they have shared with their fans.
On December 20, BTS’s official Instagram account pleasantly surprised fans by sharing a reel of Jimin dancing with his dancers to the song Closer Than This. The choreography of the song is laid-back and easy to follow. V later joins the video, and the two deliver a heartfelt message to fans, reassuring them that they will be back soon and not to worry.
Currently, all seven members of BTS i.e. Jimin, RM, Jin, J-hope, Suga, V and Jungkook are serving their mandatory military services.
