They Call Him OG collections in India after three days were around Rs 110 crore (net) — the film grossed more than Rs 200 crore worldwide. And according to trade pundits, although there seems to be a decline in the collections, the film is sitting pretty at the box office. OG’s revenue saw a decline in some districts due to mixed reviews from critics, but the film was well received by the fans and audiences. Despite a decline in collections, the overall occupancy rate for ‘They Call Him OG’ improved during the weekend at 42%. Also, the positive word-of-mouth and the festive season helped the film sustain its momentum at the box office.

In overseas too, the craze for the Pawan Kalyan-starrer was at its best. OG opened to a thunderous response with the film collecting a record number from the premieres itself. According to filmmakers, the film has earned $4.7 million (gross) at the North American box office — highest in the actor’s career. With a massive fan base, the DVV Danayya’s production venture had received a 7.2 rating on IMDb. Pawan’s action sequences and intense performances have received huge praise. Fans have lauded the actor’s hero-like entries throughout the film and have appreciated Sujeeth’s writing and portraying their favourite actor how they imagined him to be.
The makers of Ram Charan’s upcoming film Peddi celebrated a milestone in the actor’s career. He has completed 18 glorious years in cinema (his film Chirutha released on September 28, 2007). The landmark year has got the fans going. Meanwhile, Charan is shooting for rustic drama Peddi, which is being crafted on a massive canvas.

Ram Charan will dive deep into one of the most ambitious roles of his career for his upcoming film Peddi. And to celebrate the special occasion of the actor’s 18th anniversary in the industry, Peddi filmmakers released a new poster that captures him in a strikingly intense look. Standing on a railway track with a backpack and a beedi in his fingers, Charan exudes an edgy vibe. His rugged look, bushy beard and intense look and unkempt hair reflect the soul in his character. Directed by Buchi Babu Sana of Uppena fame, Peddi promises a raw and emotionally charged story set against a rugged rural backdrop. And the latest poster of the actor is a testament to his grit.

A source close to the unit informs, “Ram Charan will be sporting multiple looks and his rugged appearance is just one of them. Since his character has several layers, each look reflects the emotional aspects of the time.” The actor’s physical transformation for Peddi, his intense prep and the teaser has set the expectations high. Peddi is slated for a release on March 27, 2026, coinciding with Ram Charan’s birthday.
Right from his debut film Chirutha to Peddi, one thing common throughout Ram Charan’ career is his dedication. He never had any half measures and always followed his father’s (Megastar Chiranjeevi) advice, ‘no shortcuts to hard work,’ and picked up roles as per his instincts. He likes to be versatile, and this facet has set him apart among his peers.
