Maharashtra’s Deputy Chief Minister Ajit Pawar faces accusations of obstructing IPS officer Anjana Krishna’s efforts to curb illegal sand mining in Solapur. A video circulating online purportedly captures Pawar instructing Krishna to halt action against an NCP member involved. Opposition leaders are demanding an apology, alleging Pawar threatened the officer after she insisted on verifying his identity.

The case dates back to July this year when a 20-day old infant was admitted to a hospital in Gurugram. The baby is healthy and doing fine now.
