Neena Gupta hilariously scolds son-in-law Satydeep Misra at Masaba’s baby shower; ‘I told him not to…’

Sonam Kapoor hosted a beautiful baby shower for the soon-to-be mom, Masaba Gupta, on Sunday. Rhea Kapoor, Soni Razdan, Shaheen Bhatt, and Akansha Ranjan Kapoor, among others, attended the biscuit-themed ceremony. Meanwhile, a video of veteran actress Neena Gupta has taken over the internet as she humorously schooled her son-in-law and Masaba’s husband, Satyadeep Misra.

Several videos and pictures from renowned designer and actor Masaba Gupta’s baby shower have been ruling the internet. One of the videos, originally posted by one of Masaba Gupta’s friends, Nimish, stood out and was also re-shared by the Badhaai Ho actress. The video was captioned, “Neena Gupta schooling us for sartorial choices. Best Nani to be.”

In the video, surrounded by their loved ones, the nani-to-be advised the younger ones to dress up as per the occasion. She went on to school her son-in-law, Satyadeep Misra, stating, “I told him not to wear jeans. White pant pehen leta (He could have worn white pants).”  This savage side of Gupta left everyone in splits.

Furthermore, several pictures also showed Masaba and her husband Satyadeep posing alongside Sonam Kapoor and other friends. Masaba was also seen posing beside the sweets.

90 Day Fiance Happily Ever After: Angela Deem And Michael Ilesanmi Call It Quits With Dramatic Twist

Angela Deem and Michael Ilesanmi, the long-standing couple from the 90 Day Fiance franchise, have officially ended their relationship and are taking their marriage to court. Ilesanmi’s supporters are hoping he will be able to remain in the US after leaving Deem’s home.

Following the multi-day Tell-All event in New York City, Deem and Ilesanmi shared videos with TLC showrunners announcing their separation. The show’s official Instagram account posted a preview of their video footage ahead of the finale episode, urging fans not to miss it.

In one of the videos, Deem is seen sitting inside a car and saying, “After the Tell-All we got home… And my worst fear came true.” The 58-year-old said that three or four days after they were back home, “he was gone.” In another video, Ilesanmi talks about his part of the story from inside a room. “Hi, guys. This is Michael and I want to share my side of the story with you,” the 35-year-old said.

Recalling the day he fled Deem’s home, Ilesanmi shared that as they went back home following the Tell-All, Deem “as usual” got angry. “She started giving me attitude and saying all sorts of things to me. So it got to a point — I just had to leave.” He recalled, “She said she wants to go out to make some errands, so she left the house, I went to the closet, picked up my backpack and my essential documents and my jacket, and I left the house.”

He further narrated that he walked for around five hours from Deem’s house in Georgia, and after being “almost bitten by a dog,” he “begged a man” for a phone and got in touch with one of his friends, who helped him reach the bus station. Though he revealed where he was while recording the video, he mentioned that it was “about 18 hours” away. Responding to Deem’s accusation regarding using her for his visa, Ilesanmi clarified, “I’m here for the right reason, of course, yes, from the bottom of my heart, I’m here for the right reason. But unfortunately, what I was expecting wasn’t what I met, you know.”

He concluded the video by saying he wants to move on with his life. “Enough is enough. I mean, no one deserves to be treated this way. I want the best for us, for myself, but it’s just so unfortunate. I can’t just take it anymore.” On the other hand, Deem threatened Ilesanmi and said, “I’ll see you soon, Michael. I’ll see you soon — either getting on a plane or in a courtroom.”

Even though Deem and Ilesanmi had been dating for eight years, their relationship was primarily long-distance until a few months ago. Ilesanmni entered the US on a spousal visa from Nigeria in December 2023. However, things haven’t been well ever since. While Deem wants to show that he deceived her into marrying him for a US visa, Ilesanmi has requested a divorce and spousal support from her.

After Michael fled his violent wife and his alleged abusive relationship, fans backed him, while Deem claimed that she was the real victim and alleged that Ilesanmi was a con artist and cheater from the beginning.

“Embarrassment”: Omar Abdullah’s Jibe At BJP Over Seat-Sharing Fumble

National Conference chief Omar Abdullah, shortly after thrashing out what he called a “tough” seat-sharing deal with ally Congress, said he was surprised that the BJP, which prides itself on its discipline, failed to announce its candidates without a hitch.

“For them to have furniture broken in their office and almost a riot like situation was extremely unusual. But then, I’m not surprised. When you suddenly change all your senior leaders, you are going to have a problem,” Mr Abdullah said.

The BJP had released a list of 44 candidates for the three-phase election to 90 assembly seats in Jammu and Kashmir, but deleted it and released a list with 15 names — the candidates for the first phase.

The change followed a massive display of resentment from the local leaders. The list which was deleted, contained names of leaders who had switched over from the Congress, National Conference, PDP and Panthers Party.

“When you reward turncoats, you reward those who have left other parties and come and join you… Look at the embarrassment. I have never seen a situation where the party has had to withdraw its list within 10 minutes and then put out a truncated list,” Mr Abdullah said.

About the challenges faced by the INDIA alliance – Congress had to fly in two central leaders, KC Venugopal and Salman Khurshid, at the eleventh hour – Mr Abdullah said both parties were new to it.

Seat sharing, for any party, is not easy, Mr Abdullah said. But for the current National Conference leaders, including himself, a pre-poll seat sharing was a first, he said, pointing out that the last time it happened was in the 1980s.

“This is the first time I have had any negotiations for a seat sharing arrangement, coupled with the fact that we haven’t had assembly elections in J&K for 10 years,” Mr Abdullah said. “This was never going to be easy, but all credit to the negotiators of the Congress and the National Conference, we reached where we are,’ he added.

The two parties cracked the deal late in the evening – hours before the deadline for nominations of the first phase.

The National Conference will contest 51 of the 90 assembly seats, the Congress will contest 32. The parties will have a friendly contest on the five seats they disagreed on, and two seats will be left for the CPM and the Panthers Party.

Jammu and Kashmir, where elections are being held after a decade, is headed for a triangular contest between the BJP, Mehbooba Mufti’s People’s Democratic Party and the National Conference-Congress alliance.

In 2014, the BJP formed a ruling alliance with the PDP after the election results presented a hung house. But the alliance of the two ideologically mismatched parties was short-lived and Jammu and Kashmir came under President’s Rule in 2018.

The big surprise of this election is the participation of the candidates of the banned Jamaat-e-Islami, who are contesting as Independents.

“I think it’s an important development,” Mr Abdullah said. “An organisation that spent the last 30-plus years telling the people of Kashmir that elections are ‘haram’, that they should not participate in elections, was talking about Jammu and Kashmir not being a part of India, today is willing to take the same oath on the Constitution of India that mainstream political parties have taken. This is a huge development,” he said.

About his own decision to contest the assembly elections, the former Chief Minister said, “I am not getting into the powers of the chief minister and all that… Ultimately, if I believe I am a leader of the National Conference, then I must lead”.

From the point of view of the assembly, he said it would be “hypocritical” or “seen as hypocritical” if he were to tell people that “I don’t believe in this assembly, but you must vote”.

“Whatever the flaws of this assembly, it is still better than what we have now. This assembly may not be the assembly that it was in 2018, but it is still an assembly that will speak for them that will fight for their rights. And also this is an assembly that will bring back the statehood of Jammu and Kashmir. We’ll make a start from there,” he added.

The 54-year-old will contest from Ganderbal.
