The Congress party has unveiled its first list of 32 candidates for the Haryana assembly elections, including 28 sitting MLAs and wrestler Vinesh Phogat. With about 3,000 aspirants applying for tickets, the party is now focused on addressing dissatisfaction among those not chosen as it prepares to announce additional candidates.

A tragic incident occurred in Begusarai district where a nine-year-old boy named Ankush was beheaded by Vijay Kumar Mahto. The suspect lured Ankush away from his playmates before committing the crime. Locals described Vijay as mentally unstable. Police have arrested him and recovered the weapon used. Authorities confirmed it was an isolated act of extreme violence.
