A Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) was signed between Shri Prabhav Joshi, Commissioner & Managing Director, TCGL, and Mr. Rohit Gopakumar, Director of Worldwide Media and CEO of ZENL, BCCL TV & Digital Network, in the presence of dignitaries. Hosting this esteemed event for the second consecutive year will further strengthen Gujarat’s positioning as a thriving cultural and cinematic destination. This continued momentum aligns with the state’s efforts under the dynamic Cinematic Tourism Policy launched in September 2022, which aims to establish Gujarat as a preferred hub for film and cultural events.

About the 70th Filmfare Awards 2025

The 70th Filmfare Awards will be star-studded, uniting the biggest stars, newcomers, visionary filmmakers, and industry stalwarts under one roof for an unforgettable night of glamour, artistry, and glory. Beyond honouring cinematic brilliance, the event will spotlight Gujarat’s cultural richness, breathtaking landscapes, and rapidly growing film infrastructure, cementing its stature as a world-class destination for entertainment and global cinema.

About Gujarat Tourism

Gujarat shines proudly on the world map for its cultural and historic treasures. The state is home to four major UNESCO World Heritage Sites: Rani ki Vav at Patan, an intricately carved stepwell; the ancient city of Dholavira, reflecting the advanced urban planning of the Harappan civilisation; Champaner-Pavagadh Archaeological Park; and the Historic City of Ahmedabad, honoured as India’s first World Heritage City for its living heritage, old precincts, and harmonious coexistence of cultures.

Beyond physical sites, Gujarat’s Garba dance has been recognised by UNESCO as part of the Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity. This lively community dance, performed during Navratri, brings together people from all backgrounds, echoing the state’s vibrant spirit.

But Gujarat’s story goes further. It is home to the world’s tallest statue, the Statue of Unity, a tribute to Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel. Its long coastline embraces sunlit beaches like Mandvi and Shivrajpur, while its forests shelter Asiatic lions in Gir National Park, wild asses in the Little Rann of Kutch, and countless migratory birds at Nal Sarovar. From the white desert of Kutch to the lush hills of Saputara, from sacred temples like Somnath and Dwarka to modern marvels like the Sabarmati Riverfront, the state offers a landscape as diverse as its history.
