Donald Trump has threatened Harvard University’s tax-exempt status, accusing it of promoting “terrorist inspired/supporting ‘Sickness?'” after the university refused to comply with federal directives, leading to a freeze of $2.2 billion in grants and $60 million in contracts.

S. Jaishankar criticized Pakistan’s role in promoting terrorism, highlighting their double-dealing in Afghanistan and persistent “bad habits.” He emphasized that the 2008 Mumbai attacks marked a turning point in India-Pakistan relations, signaling a shift in India’s tolerance. Jaishankar also linked national progress to the strength and quality of a nation’s universities.

The Ministry of External Affairs said Pakistan had no locus standi to comment on India’s internal matter and highlighted Islamabad’s own failures of protecting minorities.
