For those unversed, Suriya was initially offered a role back in the day by director SS Rajamouli to be a part of the Baahubali franchise. However, the actor had rejected the offer upon not being satisfied with his character.
The same has been addressed by Suriya on various occasions as well where the actor had admitted to regretting not working with the magnum opus director. The actor had also said that all people make mistakes in life and rejecting the offer was one of the mistakes he made and would definitely be ready to do a film with Rajamouli if considers him.
Moving ahead, Suriya is all geared up for the release of his movie Kanguva, directed by Siva. The upcoming fantasy action flick features the actor in a dual role, playing a tribal warrior from the past and a shadow cop, 700 years into the future.
The movie also has Bobby Deol and Disha Patani playing the lead roles, making their debut in Tamil cinema. Moreover, the film also has actors like Yogi Babu, Redin Kingsley, Natarajan Subramaniam, Kovai Sarala, and many more in key roles. The film is said to be one of the most expensive films ever made in Indian cinema and is touted to have a sequel as well.
On the other hand, SS Rajamouli is currently involved in the making of his next movie with Mahesh Babu, tentatively called SSMB29 or SSRMB. The film is said to be a globe-trotting movie and is expected to begin shooting in January 2025.
