South Korea Police Attempt Raid on Yoon’s Office, North Reports Martial Law Fiasco

South Korean police tried to search President Yoon Suk Yeol’s office on December 11 but have not been able to enter the main building, local news reported, as an investigation into his decision last week to impose martial law widened.A presidential security service official said earlier in the day that a police raid was underway, confirming media reports at the time. However, Yonhap news agency later said investigators had not yet entered the main building. Video from Yonhap showed the officers entering the checkpoint before coming out.Yonhap said police had not managed to agree with the Secret Service on the method of the seizure and search. Police declined to comment.Last Tuesday (December 3), Yoon made a surprise declaration of martial law, which was reversed hours later.
