Sara Arjun is basking in the success following the release of her latest movie, Dhurandhar: The Revenge. While she is being praised for reprising her role as Yalina, her father, veteran actor Raj Arjun, has shared an emotional look back at their journey together. Speaking at Kommune India’s SpokenFest, Raj talked about his years of struggle and the important role his daughter played in his life and career. Raj Arjun described the birth of Sara in 2005 as a defining moment. He shared, “In 2005, a soul came into my life. I had heard that daughters are a blessing, and I got to live that blessing too.” Although he had secured his first lead role around the same time, the project unfortunately never materialized. Despite the setback, Raj credited Sara for his growth, saying, “If this soul hadn’t come into my life, I wouldn’t have been this person or this artist today.”
Raj recalled the years of uncertainty that followed, mentioning that Sara remained his emotional anchor throughout. He described their relationship as one that went beyond traditional roles, saying, “She took care of me like a Dhurandhar.” Talking about his responsibilities as a father during those tough times, he added, “Sometimes you have to be the wind beneath her wings. I did that too and stayed hopeful.” One of the biggest moments in Raj’s career happened in 2016 during a visit to casting director Mukesh Chhabra’s office with Sara. Raj revealed that it was Sara who was the catalyst for his breakthrough in the Aamir Khan-backed film Secret Superstar. He said, “She held Mukesh’s hand and dragged him outside. She turned her destiny towards me, and I bagged a role in Secret Superstar.”

Today, as Sara carves her own path with roles in major films like Dhurandhar: The Revenge, Raj finds immense joy in her achievements. He said, “When that daughter is spreading her light in the world, being a Dhurandhar, she shares that spotlight with me too.” He concluded saying, “People say daughters hold their father’s hand and move forward, but I reached my destination holding my daughter’s hand. This brightness of my life is called Sara.”
