In June last year, it was reported that the father-daughter duo would star in the film titled The King, marking Suhana’s big-screen debut. Siddharth Anand was also rumoured to be a co-producer. In November, Sujoy Ghosh was announced as the director of the film described as a unique action thriller with strong dynamics between Shah Rukh Khan and Suhana Khan.
Contrary to expectations of a softer father-daughter film, they aimed to break norms with their first collaboration on an action thriller, according to an entertainment news portal source.
The recent reports about the postponed film have not yet received responses from Shah Rukh Khan and Suhana. SRK, last seen in Dunki, is yet to announce his next project.
