The boy, a few months short of 18, wanted to befriend the girl and had allegedly been harassing her for some time, even accosting her on the road on one occasion. Alarmed, her parents packed her off to a hostel. That left the boy angry. Along with two of his aides, he stormed her house Friday noon and asked her mother where she was. She replied the girl wasn’t home. Sensing trouble, a relative started calling up other family members for help. It was then the boy shot the 35-year-old woman twice and fled.
