Hyderabad, India – The Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation (GHMC) has come under intense scrutiny as residents express outrage over the deplorable condition of roads despite the collection of crores in taxes. The deteriorating infrastructure has particularly impacted pregnant women, newborns, and senior citizens who traverse these roads daily in bikes, autos, and cars.

Over the past 1.5 years, multiple tickets have been raised with GHMC, highlighting the urgent need for road repairs. However, these tickets have been consistently closed with the justification of being part of the Comprehensive Road Maintenance Program (CRMP) Phase 2. Despite these assurances, there has been no visible progress, and the road conditions have worsened from bad to disgusting.

Frustrated by the lack of action, residents have taken their grievances directly to the GHMC Commissioner, following up multiple times without receiving any response. The issue was also raised on Twitter, where the same excuse of “CRMP Phase 2” was given, showing a lack of concern for even temporary measures like pothole filling to mitigate the situation.

The community’s patience is wearing thin as they continue to face significant challenges and risks due to the poor road conditions. The GHMC’s inaction has left many questioning the accountability and effectiveness of the municipal corporation in addressing critical infrastructure issues.

Now. hope is mass GHMC tickets in Portal and directly appeal MLA/Corporator/CMO to through this blog to Immediately recommend GHMC for road instead of waiting indefinitely for CRMP.
