Ace filmmaker SS Rajamouli heaped high praise on Premalu and the Malayalam film industry as he admitted that Malayalam cinema produces “better actors”. Now, Prithviraj Sukumaran, who is currently gearing up for the release of Blessy’s The Goat Life, has reacted to the RRR director’s claim.
He further added about his co-star, “But good actors exist everywhere in the country and in the world. Take Jimmy [Jean-Loius] for example, we wanted an Ibrahim Kadri and it took us three years. And it was not that Jimmy Jean-Loius was a name readily available to casting agents in India.”
In The Goat Life, Prithviraj Sukumaran plays an Indian migrant worker, Najeeb Muhammad, who is forced to work as a goatherd in the harsh deserts of Saudi Arabia.
The film which also features Amala Paul, Vineeth Sreenivasan and more, will release on March 28, 2024.
