By now, social media has been flooded with reports and speculations about the upcoming biopic on Madhubala. Rightly so, fans are eager to know who is going to ultimately fit the bill for the Sanjay Leela Bhansali backed project. Interestingly, a little birdie has given us some clarification on the same. Filmfare has recently come to know that Aneet Padda has been signed on to play the lead role in this intense biopic about the life and works of the legendary actress.
As per our source, Padda has already been signed for the special film. Other details have been kept under the wraps, but the filming will supposedly begin soon. The birdie has also told us that the final casting shall be revealed soon.
Recent reports had stated Kiara Advani’s collaboration with Bhansali for the project. The same were also debunked. For now, we remain positive about Aneet’s association with this biopic. Only time will tell if the makers decide to lock this casting and announce it to the audiences soon.
The movie is being directed by Darlings’ director Jasmeet K. Reen. Details about the other cast members haven’t been revealed yet. However, it is certain that the makers are leaving no stone unturned in making this biopic an epic one. And Aneet, for them, seems to be the right choice. Now, it’s only a matter of time until the young actress mesmerises us on screen with her portrayal of the superstar.
Aneet was last seen in her debut film Saiyaara, opposite Ahaan Panday. It went on to earn great box office numbers, making it one of Yash Raj Films’ most successful projects in the recent years.
