Speaking to News18, Labour Minister Santhosh Lad said the industry’s concerns on the Karnataka Platform-Based Gig Workers Bill 2024 are unfounded since neither app owners nor gig workers will be charged. A small cess of 50 paise or Rs 2 will be charged from the customers or commuters, he explained
