A group of 110 Indian students, who were stranded in Iran and evacuated yesterday, have landed in Delhi’s Indira Gandhi International Airport. A majority of them – 90 — are from Jammu and Kashmir.

Amidst escalating tensions between Iran and Israel, India has launched Operation Sindhu to evacuate its citizens from Iran. The first flight, carrying 110 Indian citizens, mostly students, landed in New Delhi from Yerevan, Armenia. The Indian Embassy in Tehran facilitated the safe relocation of students from the city.

Assembly bypolls across Gujarat, Kerala, West Bengal, and Punjab are being closely watched as the first electoral test post the Pahalgam terror attack and Operation Sindoor. These elections are particularly significant in Kerala and West Bengal, where assembly elections are due early next year.
