The Bombay High Court has upheld arbitral awards exceeding Rs 538 crore in favour of the defunct Kochi Tuskers IPL franchise, dismissing BCCI’s challenge. Justice Chagla emphasised the limited scope of court intervention in arbitration matters. Kochi Tuskers had played the 2011 season of the IPL before being terminated a year later.

In Alwar’s Kherli, a nine-year-old boy witnessed his father’s murder, allegedly orchestrated by his mother’s lover and accomplices. The child reported that his mother, Anita, stood by as Kashiram Prajapat smothered Veeru Jatav. Anita and Kashiram, who had an affair, plotted the murder. Kashiram hired four men for Rs 2 lakh. Police arrested Anita, while three accused remain at large.
