Baikunthanath Sarangi, a chief engineer, was arrested on his retirement day for amassing disproportionate assets exceeding Rs 15 crore. He was caught on video throwing cash during a vigilance raid. Searches revealed multiple properties, significant cash holdings, and investments. In a separate case, searches were conducted on N Dillip Kumar Choudhury, an assistant executive engineer, for similar allegations.

Amidst a family feud, Tej Pratap Yadav expressed loyalty to his brother Tejashwi, likening their bond to Krishna and Arjun.
