The ceasefire with Pakistan is a conditional one and there is no change in India’s position on the diplomatic measures against the neighbouring country, including the suspension of the Indus Water Treaty, sources have said.

Jammu and Kashmir Chief Minister Omar Abdullah welcomed the”full and immediate” ceasefire between India and Pakistan, which has come after two days of cross-border attacks and resultant damage to life and infrastructure.

Following escalating tensions sparked by a terror attack in Pahalgam, India and Pakistan have agreed to a ceasefire, halting all military actions across land, air, and sea, effective from 5 pm today. The decision, reached after a call initiated by Pakistan’s DGMO, includes keeping the Indus Water Treaty in abeyance and maintaining retaliatory measures announced on April 23.
