Minutes after Donald Trump’s big announcement of an immediate ceasefire between India and Pakistan, Pakistan’s foreign minister put out a statement on social media platform X, saying Islamabad has agreed to it.

India and Pakistan have agreed to halt all military actions across land, air, and sea, effective from 17:00 hours IST on Saturday. This understanding was reached during a call between the Directors General of Military Operations of both countries. The decision follows heightened tensions, including India’s ‘Operation Sindoor’ in response to a terror attack in Jammu and Kashmir.

The ministry of external affairs revealed Pakistan’s misinformation campaign. Pakistan falsely claimed damage to Indian military assets, including the S-400 and BrahMos missiles. They also alleged damage to airfields and ammunition depots. India clarified its secular values, denying allegations of damaging mosques. This followed India’s strikes on terror camps and an agreement to halt military action.
