Delhi’s Indira Gandhi International Airport resumed normal operations in the early hours of Saturday and issued an advisory to passengers amid heightened security preparedness due to ongoing tensions between India and Pakistan.
Early Saturday morning, multiple explosions were heard at Pakistani air bases and Rawalpindi, its military headquarters. Pakistan’s army spokesman accused India of firing missiles at three air bases, claiming most were intercepted. This followed two nights of failed Pakistani drone attacks targeting Indian cities, using civilian planes as shields, which Indian defense systems successfully countered.
