The Supreme Court reprimanded a petitioner for filing a Public Interest Litigation (PIL) seeking tourist safety in hilly areas from terrorist attacks, deeming it a publicity stunt without genuine public concern. The court questioned the petitioner’s motives and cautioned against demoralizing security forces with frivolous PILs, highlighting the judiciary’s lack of expertise in terror investigation.

The Delhi Police arrested 24-year-old Vijay alias Lale in a hit-and-run and attempt-to-murder case involving a security guard at Mahipalpur Flyover. The accused allegedly ran over the victim after an argument over honking. The victim sustained serious leg injuries. A Mahindra Thar, identified via CCTV, was seized, and the arrest was made within six hours of the incident.
