The terrorist attack in Baisaran valley near Pahalgam, which ended in 26 people dying, has brought a long-active terror module operating in Jammu and Kashmir to the forefront.

Government officials admitted a security lapse regarding the Pahalgam terror attack. They stated that such an attack was not expected. An all-party meeting was held where opposition parties supported the government’s actions against terrorism. Defence Minister Rajnath Singh highlighted the government’s zero-tolerance policy. Home Minister Amit Shah and S Jaishankar briefed President Droupadi Murmu on the situation.

In the wake of the Pahalgam terror attack, two men named Adil Hussain are at the center of the story. Adil Hussain Thokar, a wanted LeT operative, is accused of orchestrating the assault after receiving training in Pakistan. Conversely, Syed Adil Hussain Shah, a pony handler, is being hailed as a hero for his bravery in attempting to stop the terrorists and protect tourists during the attack.
