In Chhattisgarh’s Jashpur district, Dhula Ram fatally assaulted his tenth wife, Basanti Bai, suspecting her of stealing food and clothing from a wedding. He concealed her body in a forest, where it was discovered five days later due to the foul odor.

The accused executed the murder plot on April 19, and the victim’s body was found in a trolley bag dumped in a farm close to his residence in Bhatauli.
