PM Modi on Monday welcomed US Vice President JD Vance during the latter’s first official visit to the country as both countries are working on a bilateral trade deal.

US VP JD Vance, his Indian-origin wife Usha, and their kids were warmly welcomed by PM Modi in Delhi. Vance’s visit is the first by a US VP to India in 12 years.

A man suspected of stealing goats was lynched by a mob in Assam’s Dibrugarh on Monday morning, said the police. Another man was critically injured during the attack.
