The Manipur government has asked all district administrations in the state to examine the papers of arms licence holders and arms dealers, an official said on Saturday.

Amid demands in Tripura for the adoption of Roman script for the tribal Kokborok language, an indigenous literary body has written to Chief Minister Manik Saha, seeking the inclusion of the language in the Eighth Schedule of the Constitution.

The answer sheets carried requests and currency notes: the request was that the examiner help them clear the exam. Say, the examiner found the plea too plain, some students had also slipped in money to make it lucrative for the assessor.
