A tragic shooting in Virginia claimed the lives of Pradeep Patel and his daughter Urmi, causing shockwaves in both the Gujarati community in the US and their native village in Mehsana. Pradeep, 56, died on the spot while Urmi succumbed to injuries two days later; the suspected shooter has been arrested.
