Chhattisgarh CM Vishnu Deo Sai condemned the naxal attack in Bijapur that killed 8 security personnel and a driver. The CM pledged that the sacrifices will not be in vain and vowed to continue the fight against Naxalism. The attack, which involved an IED blast, was seen as an act of frustration by the Naxalites.

Mayank Kumar Jha, the SP for Dima Hasao, told news agency ANI that the exact number of individuals involved is not yet known
