Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath celebrated the BJP-led NDA’s lead in seven out of nine Lok Sabha by-polls, attributing the victory to Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s leadership. While he invoked his campaign slogan “batenge to katenge” for Uttar Pradesh, he congratulated the BJP’s Maharashtra win using Modi’s “ek hai toh safe hai” slogan.

Malhotra defeated BJP’s Ramniwas Rawat with a margin of over 7,000 votes.

Congress sweep three assembly bypoll seats of Karnataka- Sandur, Shiggaon and Channapatna.
