Doctors reported a surge in respiratory problems, with even short-term exposure to pollutants causing inflammation, coughing, and breathing difficulties. The elderly and those with pre-existing conditions are particularly vulnerable.

Indian External Affairs Minister S Jaishankar and Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi met during the G20 Summit in Rio de Janeiro to discuss recent progress in easing border tensions.
