Don’t miss Sakamoto Days Chapter 189 to find out what happens next, and keep reading to discover the release date, where to read it, what to expect and a recap of the last chapter’s events.

Sakamoto Days Chapter 189: Release date and where to read

Sakamoto Days Chapter 189 is set to release on Monday, November 11, 2024, at 12 am JST. However, fans in other regions can expect the chapter to be available earlier, on Sunday, November 10, around 3 pm GMT / 7 am PT / 10 am ET. Please note that the exact release time may vary depending on your local time zone.

To read the latest chapter, fans can visit several online platforms. In the US and Canada, Viz Media provides access, while Shueisha’s MANGAPlus also releases the new chapters. Sakamoto Days Chapter 189 will also be featured in Weekly Shonen Jump Issue 50.

Expected plot in Sakamoto Days Chapter 189

Sakamoto Days Chapter 189 will likely reveal Tenkyu’s reaction to learning Shin’s true relationship with Sakamoto. Shin’s deception as the JAA fortune teller may provoke Tenkyu to launch a sudden attack, possibly sparking an intense battle as Shin braces for a potential life-threatening encounter.

Meanwhile, Sakamoto’s time with Torres may take an unexpected turn, with gambler’s hint about Sakamoto’s skills in the kitchen being used in combat helping him achieve a breakthrough. Torres likely expects Sakamoto to similarly use multiple weapons at once, though it may take some time for Sakamoto to fully understand this.

Sakamoto Days Chapter 188 recap

Sakamoto Days Chapter 188, titled ‘Here and Now,’ begins as Sakamoto is defeated by Torres for the fifth time. Torres, frustrated, insists Sakamoto needs to raise his bounty before he can be targeted seriously, as his preference for unarmed combat doesn’t pose a significant enough threat.

Unfazed, Sakamoto suggests Torres train him, an idea Torres considers pointless due to Sakamoto’s lack of specialized weapon skills. While walking, they encounter Aoi, who invites Torres for dinner, and Sakamoto allows it, feeling confident that Torres won’t attack without incentive.

Torres observes Aoi’s cooking skill and is astonished by Sakamoto’s talents in the kitchen as well, prompting him to ask why such skills are hidden. Sakamoto Days Chapter 188 then shifts to the JAA prison, where Shin and Heisuke work together to convince Tenkyu that Shin is the fortune teller.

As they converse, Shin is outraged when he learns Tenkyu plans to target Sakamoto’s family to draw him out. Shin, incensed, punches Tenkyu, and Sakamoto Days Chapter 188 ends as he states that he would abandon Sakamoto’s family rule against killing if it meant protecting them from Tenkyu.

Did Vijay Sethupathi feel awkward about romancing actresses ‘half his age’ on-screen? Throwback to Maharaja star’s controversial remark

Vijay Sethupathi is a man of all seasons when it comes to his craft and its sheer versatility. Over the years, he has shared the screen with everyone- from a debutant to an experienced actor. In one of his older interviews, the Maharaja star had opened up about whether he had any hesitancy to romance actresses who are about his son’s age. In this article, let us revisit what he had to say.

In an earlier interview with Rediff, just after the release of his film Maharaja, Vijay Sethupathi was asked to reveal if he had any reservations about romancing actresses half his age on-screen. In reference, the actor was reminded of his previous statement about not wanting to work with Anushka Shetty, who was his son’s age.

Clarifying his stance regarding the Baahubali actress, he said, “Why is this such a talking point? I wasn’t saying anything controversial. It was twisted out of context. What I meant was, I felt awkward pairing with her on-screen because previously she had played my daughter in a film. She even calls me Dad in real life. So that was a problem.”

Moreover, he also revealed whether he found it awkward about the age of the leading lady opposite him in any film. Vijay shared, “Otherwise it doesn’t matter what my heroine’s age is. It is all acting.”

That’s not all. Vijay Sethupathi in the same interview was even asked if he felt that South superstars like him follow a tradition of working with actresses half their age. To this, the actor refused to give any response, citing that he didn’t wish to create any unnecessary controversy.

For the unversed, throughout his filmography, the 46-year-old actor has worked with a number of actresses, including Aishwarya Rajesh, Nayanthara, Samantha Ruth Prabhu, Krithi Shetty and most recently with Bollywood diva Katrina Kaif. Not only were his on-screen pairings appreciated, but the fact that he built a great rapport and chemistry with each one of them was also noticed.

In one of his older interviews during a press event for the film Jawan, Vijay Sethupathi made an interesting remark about his crush and how he could not pursue her. The actor mentioned that even after doing so many positive roles in films, he could not muster up the courage to approach his crush, all because of Shah Rukh Khan.

Explaining his stance, the Merry Christmas star revealed that his crush was a die-hard fan of SRK, and wasn’t able to see him past the Bollywood icon.

On the work front, Vijay has quite a few projects panned out, including Viduthalai Part 2, Gandhi Talks, Ace and Train.

Lawyer Says Bengal People Losing Faith In Judiciary, Chief Justice Replies

The Supreme Court today refused to transfer the RG Kar rape-murder case trial outside West Bengal and rebuked a lawyer who claimed that the people of the state were losing faith in the police and the judiciary. Responding to a lawyer’s request to transfer the case, Chief Justice of India DY Chandrachud said, “Yes we have done it in cases like Manipur. But we are not doing anything like that here. No such transfer.”

At the outset, the bench, also comprising Justice JB Pardiwala and Justice Manoj Misra, went through the status report filed by the CBI, which is investigating the heinous rape and murder of a 31-year-old doctor in Kolkata’s RG Kar Medical College and Hospital in August.

“We have seen the sixth status report filed by CBI, which indicates that the Additional Sessions judge has framed charges punishable under Sections 64 and 103 of BNS (Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita). The next hearing is on November 11. Since the investigation is underway, we refrain from making observations. Let an updated status report be filed after four weeks,” said the Chief Justice, who retires this Sunday.

The bench also reviewed a report by the National Task Force formed to recommend steps to ensure safe working conditions for healthcare staff in hospitals. The Chief Justice said the report must be circulated among Chief Secretaries of all states/Union Territories so that they can make suggestions. He said this exercise must be completed in three weeks.

Senior Advocate Indira Jaising, appearing for doctors in Bengal, raised some objections. The Chief Justice asked her to submit the suggestions.

At one point, a counsel said that the people of West Bengal “have lost faith in the judiciary”. The Chief Justice responded sternly and asked the lawyer, “Who are you appearing for? Do not make such general statements. There is no such thing at all.” He added that this was “canteen gossip happening in court”.

The RG Kar rape-murder incident sparked massive protests across the country as doctors took to the streets to demand safety at the workplace. The Mamata Banerjee government drew fire as protesters alleged a cover-up attempt. The Calcutta High Court was not satisfied with the Kolkata Police probe and transferred the case to the CBI. The Supreme Court took suo motu cognizance of the matter and pulled up the hospital administration for its response after the doctor was found dead. The top court has been monitoring the CBI’s probe since. Once Chief Justice DY Chandrachud retires, the next Chief Justice Sanjiv Khanna will take his place on the bench hearing the case.
