Khushi Kapoor Birthday: When The Archies actor opened up about re-enacting mom Sridevi’s funny scenes in her absence

As Khushi Kapoor celebrates her birthday on November 5, 2024, the daughter of legendary actress Sridevi and producer Boney Kapoor reflects on her cherished memories of her mother. Khushi has often reminisced about her childhood, revealing how she would ‘reenact Sridevi’s iconic funny scenes whenever she was away’.

Speaking with NDTV about how her childhood was influenced by Bollywood, Khushi shared that her upbringing revolved around the film industry. She recalled, “When my sister Janhvi and I were not on set, we would be at home enacting scenes and watching films.” One particular memory stood out to her: “I have this specific memory of putting on Om Shanti Om at home, and I would do the wave that Shah Rukh Khan and others would do, making my cousin tie my dupatta on her bracelet to repeat the whole thing.”

Khushi also mentioned her mother Sridevi’s unique relationship with her own films. “Mom would hate to watch her own movies at home and would get shy and awkward,” she explained. This quirk led the sisters to enjoy her films in her absence, creating their own fun memories.

Reflecting on those playful moments, Khushi fondly recalled, “We would end up watching them when she wasn’t around and re-enact funny things she would do in them. I remember the Charlie Chaplin impersonations we would make her do at home.”

In an interview with Filmfare, Khushi Kapoor referred to her elder sister, Janhvi Kapoor, as a parental figure, underscoring the caring role Janhvi has in her life. She expressed that the Bawaal actor guides her through various situations, reassuring her that she is doing well.

Additionally, Khushi shared a humorous note about the perks of having access to Janhvi’s wardrobe, highlighting the playful side of their relationship. The Dhadak actor, recognized for her protective instincts toward Khushi, frequently showcases their sisterly bond on social media, celebrating the strength of their connection.

On the work front, Khushi made her Bollywood debut in Zoya Akhtar’s The Archies, alongside Suhana Khan, Vedang Raina, Agastya Nanda, and others.

Notably, for the premiere night of her first project, Khushi walked the red carpet in a sparkling gown that had previously been worn by her mother, Sridevi.

Athiya Shetty Birthday: When husband KL Rahul hilariously revealed ‘whole family’ is scared of Suniel Shetty’s daughter

Athiya Shetty and her husband, cricketer KL Rahul, are a couple to admire, constantly setting relationship goals. As Athiya celebrates her birthday today, let’s remember a moment when KL playfully mentioned that her entire family is a bit ‘scared’ of her, while she herself fears no one.

In a candid chat with Vogue India, Athiya Shetty posed a fun question to KL Rahul about her closest family ties and who they fear the most. With a playful grin, he responded that Athiya shares a special bond with her mother, but amusingly added that the entire family is a little scared of her, noting that she’s not intimidated by anyone.

He said, “You are the closest to your mother and the whole family is afraid of you. She is not scared of nobody.”

When asked which of them is the better cook, Athiya humorously admitted that they put this to the test during lockdown—with less-than-successful results on her part. She shared that she managed to burn banana bread, leading to the conclusion that KL Rahul definitely takes the crown in the kitchen!

When the couple was asked about the ‘funny one’ between them, KL Rahul confidently claimed the title, while Athiya playfully challenged him, suggesting they put it to a vote on set to settle the debate.

As for who apologizes first, Athiya admitted she’s usually the one to say ‘sorry’ first, to which KL Rahul teased, ‘because she’s always wrong’, adding a lighthearted touch to their playful dynamic.

When asked who’s more stubborn, both Athiya and KL Rahul immediately pointed fingers at each other, sparking a laugh. KL Rahul then remarked that anyone who knows them would agree that she’s the more stubborn one.

Athiya Shetty and KL Rahul exchanged vows on January 23, 2023, in an intimate ceremony attended by family and close friends. The couple celebrated their union at Suniel Shetty’s serene farmhouse in Khandala, creating a memorable backdrop for their special day.

In her Bollywood journey, Athiya Shetty has taken on a few select projects. She debuted with Hero, then starred alongside Arjun Kapoor in Mubarakan. She also made a lively appearance in the song Tere Naal Nachna from Nawabzaade. Her latest role was in Motichoor Chaknachoor (2019), where she starred opposite Nawazuddin Siddiqui.

Pinkvilla wishes Athiya Shetty a very happy birthday!

Army “Successfully” Completes Patrolling To Key Point In Ladakh’s Depsang

The Indian Army today “successfully completed” patrolling to one of the patrol points in the Depsang region of Ladakh following a consensus between the Indian and Chinese troops last month over patrolling arrangements in Demchock and Depsang.

The 14 Corps, also known as the Fire and Fury Corps, gave an update and said, “Following the consensus reached between the Indian and Chinese Side for disengagement and resumption of patrolling in Depsang and Demchok, the Indian Army patrol to one of the patrolling points in Depsang was successfully conducted today.”

“This is yet another positive step towards maintaining peace and tranquillity on the LAC,” the Fire and Fury Corps said.

The Ministry of External Affairs in its briefing last week said, the verification patrolling has commenced in the two regions – Demchok in eastern Ladakh and Depsang in the north – making way for coordinated patrolling to begin.

The breakthrough was announced a day before Prime Minister Modi was scheduled to leave for the BRICS Summit in Russia, where he held bilateral talks with Chinese President Xi Jinping on the sidelines of the summit.

On October 21, the MEA announced that the “last phase of disengagement was agreed upon between India and China” over patrolling arrangements in the two regions and the troops would return to the positions that existed before the stand-off in 2020, which saw a violent clash in the Galwan valley and standoff in the Pangong Tso region and Gogra Hot Springs and heavy troop and armour deployment in the region.

External Affairs Minister S Jaishankar confirmed the announcement at the NDTV World Summit that day and said “We reached an agreement on patrolling, and we have gone back to the 2020 position. With that, we can say the disengagement with China has been completed… There are areas which, for various reasons after 2020, they blocked us, we blocked them. We have now reached an understanding which will allow patrolling as we had been doing till 2020.”

In 2021, the two sides completed disengagement on the north and south bank of the Pangong Tso (lake) in eastern Ladakh after Corps Commander level talks. A year later, In September 2022, Indian and Chinese troops withdrew from the contentious Gogra-Hot Springs area in Ladakh and returned to the pre-April-2020 position.

On Diwali, Indian and Chinese troops stationed at the Line of Actual Control exchanged sweets and sources had told NDTV that the verification process is on and the modalities of patrolling will be decided by the ground commanders.

Satellite Images

The disengagement process included the dismantling of structures and the restoration of the land on which they stood to their original condition.

Days after the agreement was announced, NDTV had accessed the first satellite images proving that structures were being removed by the Chinese side.

An image from the Depsang plains taken on October 11 showed four vehicles and two tents and, in another from October 25, the tents were gone and the vehicles could be seen moving away. The images were of an area near the ‘Y Junction’ from where Indian soldiers were prevented from travelling east to India’s patrolling points, which mark the extent of the Line of Actual Control that India claims in these areas.

Another set of images showed semi-permanent Chinese structures being removed from Demchok.
