Canada has not acted on India’s extradition requests for criminals and extremists, including those involved in fraud, drug dealing, domestic violence, and terrorism. Despite India’s efforts and shared evidence, Canada’s leniency has turned it into a ‘safe haven’ for these individuals.

The Jammu and Kashmir Cabinet, led by Chief Minister Omar Abdullah, has passed a resolution urging the restoration of statehood to the Union Territory. The Chief Minister will present the resolution to Prime Minister Modi.
