Alia Bhattâs Jigra inches closer to cross Rs 20 crores at BO

Alia Bhatt and Vedang Raina starrer Jigra has earned an estimated Rs 18.25 crores at the box office during its first four days. On its 5th day, i.e., the movie earned around Rs 1.70 crores for all languages. According to Sacnilk’s estimates, On its first friday, i.e., the movie’s release date, it earned Rs 4.55 crores, while the first weekend saw earnings around Rs 12 crores in total. On its first Monday, it earned around Rs 1.65 crores.

The fifth day worldwide collection of Jigra stands at Rs 30 crores. It had an overall occupancy of 10.68% in the Hindi shows on October 15, 2024. It had a theatre occupancy of 6.40% in the morning shows, 10.84% in the afternoon shows, 10.02% in the evening shows, and 15.46% in the night shows.

The movie is directed by Vasan Bala. It is produced by Karan Johar, Apoorva Mehta, Alia Bhatt, Shaheen Bhatt, and Soumen Mishra.

Rakul Preet Singh gets injured while gymming

Bollywood actress Rakul Preet Singh recently suffered a gym injury while deadlifting 80 kgs during her workout session. As per reports quoting an industry source, she has been on the rest for the last few days and the situation has been quite scary. Reports also state that she did an 80kg deadlift without wearing a belt, which resulted in a spasm on her back. The incident occurred on 5th October.

Industry sources also revealed that despite her injury, Rakul continued to shoot for De De Pyaar De 2, taking a muscle relaxant for two days. After that, she visited the physios and continued but on October 10, she went through the worst situation as the injury escalated.

As per the source, “It was quite an eventful birthday with muscle relaxants and injections given to her. It’s been five days now since she’s recovering and it’s a slow and steady process. Rakul is someone who always pushes her body. Instead of resting, she continued shooting which resulted in a drastic situation. But this is a lesson learnt and hopefully, she will recover soon.”

Besides De De Pyaar De 2, Rakul Preet Singh will also be seen in Indian 3.

Box-office update on Vicky Vidya Ka Woh Wala Video

Rajkummar Rao and Triptii Dimri’s Vicky Vidya Ka Woh Wala Video continues its decent run at the box office. After picking up pace over the weekend, the collection saw a decline on weekdays. On day 5, the film managed to mint Rs 2.27 crore. The net collection at the Indian box office stands at Rs 23.47 crore. Worldwide, the film has earned Rs 30.25 crores.

In just a couple of weeks, the film will face tough competition from Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3 and Singham Again.

Right now, it is competing with Alia Bhatt and Vedang Raina’s Jigra. Besides Rajkummar and Triptii, the film also stars Mallika Sherawat, Vijay Raaz, Archana Puran Singh, Tiku Talsania and Mukesh Tiwari among others.

Directed by Raaj Shaandilyaa, Vicky Vidya Ka Woh Wala Video is set in 1997 and follows the story of a newly married couple who decide to record a video of their first night together. However, the CD with the video gets stolen.
