EXCLUSIVE: Bhushan Kumar forms long term partnership with Mythri on Pushpa 2, Dragon, Fauji, Good Bad Ugly & more

Over the years, Bhushan Kumar has played a key role in bridging the gap between the North and South by partnering with actors and filmmakers from across the country. Continuing with his attempt to ensure the growth in cinema, Pinkvilla has exclusively learnt that Bhushan Kumar’s T Series has entered into a long-term partnership with Mythri Productions. According to sources close to the development, the association between the two giants begins from December 2024 with the release of the Sukumar-directed Pushpa 2, led by Allu Arjun.

“T Series and Mythri have entered into an association to do multiple films together, and the same begins with Pushpa 2. Bhushan Kumar has invested in Pushpa 2: The Rule and also has the music rights of the film. The next few films on their roaster include the Prabhas led Fauji, the NTRNEEL collaboration on Dragon, and the Ajith Kumar starrer Good Bad Ugly,” revealed a source close to the development.

The source further informed that the idea of this collaboration is to bring in the expertise of T Series in HSM markets to ensure a grand release of the aforementioned feature films. “While Mythri is the market leader in Telugu states, T Series will bring in their experience for marketing and releasing in the Hindi-speaking states. It’s a strategic partnership and the beginning of a new era for both the banners,” the source added.

Apart from the above-mentioned projects, Mythri is also developing multiple other films that stand the potential to win over the Pan India audience, and the details have been kept underwraps. Bhushan Kumar on the other hand is also working on mega-projects like the two Sandeep Reddy Vanga directorial – Spirit with Prabhas and Animal Park with Ranbir Kapoor – among others. His next is Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3, which is all set for a Diwali 2024 release. Stay tuned to Pinkvilla for more updates.

Inside PICS: Rajinikanth and Anirudh Ravichander join Vettaiyan team for film’s grand success celebration

Vettaiyan starring Rajinikanth, Amitabh Bachchan and Fahadh Faasil is running successfully in theaters. The movie hit the big screens on October 10, coinciding with the Dussehra festival. Directed by TJ Gnanavel, Vettaiyan has already joined the Rs 200 crore club due to its worldwide collection. To celebrate the film’s success, Thailavar, along with composer Anirudh Ravichander, joined the team for a memorable get-together.

Several photos from the film’s success celebration are surfacing on social media platforms. In the pictures, Vettaiyan’s core team can be seen posing with Rajinikanth and Anirudh Ravichander in all smiles. As a mark of respect, they also gave bouquets to Thalaivar and the music composer to share their happiness.

Take a look at the pictures below:

During a recent interview with Rednool, Anirudh Ravichander mentioned that Rajinikanth’s Vettaiyan is a movie that will leave an impact in society. He stated, “All of us are now liking films that are strong in content, right? I believe Vettaiyan will create a huge impact as a film.”

Vettaiyan, starring Rajinikanth, tells the story of SP Athiyan IPS, a police officer stationed in Kanyakumari and living with his wife and nephew. The man is recognized as an encounter specialist and is dreaded by many criminals, giving him the nickname Vettaiyan, which means “The Hunter.”

The IPS officer meets a girl named Saranya, who works as a school teacher and advocates for her pupils’ rights and education. Amitabh Bachchan plays Supreme Court Justice Sathyadev, who stands for human rights and argues that not all crimes should result in encounters.

However, things take a drastic turn, causing Athiyan to take matters into his own hands, including relocating to Chennai. This sets the stage for the rest of the investigation as well as a clash of philosophies between dealing with criminals and upholding human rights.

Meanwhile, Vettaiyan has a promising star cast including Amitabh Bachchan, Dushara Vijayan, Rana Daggubati, Manju Warrier, Fahadh Faasil and others.

“Bishnoi Gang Linked To Indian Government Agents”: Canadian Police

The Royal Canadian Mounted Police claimed Monday that “agents of the Government of India” use criminals – referring specifically to the Bishnoi gang – to “target (the) South Asian community… specifically pro-Khalistani elements” in that country.

The charge – by RCMP Commissioner Mike Duhene and his deputy, Brigitte Gauvin – adds to the row festering since Ottawa last year accused “agents” of Delhi of involvement in the killing of Canadian citizen and Khalistani terrorist Hardeep Nijjar.

“It (the Indian government) is targeting the South Asian community… but they are specifically targeting pro-Khalistani elements in Canada. What we have seen, from an RCMP perspective, is that they use organised crime elements,” Ms Gauvin told reporters.

“It has been publicly attributed and claimed by one crime group in particular – the Bishnoi gang. We believe the group is connected to agents of the Government of India.”

When asked specifically if “agents of Indian government” were being accused of “homicide, extortion, intimidation, and coercion”, Mr Duheme replied “yes”.

Mr Duheme and Ms Gauvin further claimed some Indian diplomatic staff work with organised crime elements to “collect – through questionable and illegal means – information on Canadian citizens… (that is fed to criminal organisations) that would then take violent actions from extortion to murder”.

India has strongly rejected what it calls “preposterous imputations“, including those by Canada Prime Minister Justin Trudeau accusing New Delhi of “supporting criminal activity against Canadians” and “coercive behaviour targeting South Asian Canadians”.

India also said that since the allegations were first made, the Trudeau administration “has not shared a shred of evidence with the Government of India, despite many requests…”

The External Affairs Ministry further rejected claims by Ottawa that Sanjay Kumar Verma, posted as the Indian High Commissioner, and five of his staff, are ‘persons of interest’. All six have been expelled by the Canadian side after it claimed Delhi’s continuing non-cooperation in its investigation.

Hours after the RCMP officers’ press conference Mr Trudeau spoke to reporters and doubled down on charges against the Indian government.

“I think it is obvious the Government of India made a fundamental error in thinking they could engage in supporting criminal activity against Canadians, here on Canadian soil. Whether it be murders or extortion or other violent acts, it is absolutely unacceptable.”

The allegations coincide with sliding support and tanking popularity; last week he survived a second parliamentary confidence vote in as many weeks before the 2025 election.

India and Canada have exchanged a second round of tit-for-tat expulsion of diplomats, although Delhi later said it was withdrawing its officials over security concerns. Delhi ejected Canada’s acting High Commissioner, Stewart Wheeler, and his deputy.

On the expulsion of its diplomats, Delhi said, “Sanjay Verma is India’s senior-most serving diplomat”, and slammed a “strategy of smearing India for political gains”.

The Bishnoi gang – led by Lawrence Bishnoi from his prison cell in Gujarat’s Sabarmati Jail – has rapidly become of the country’s most feared criminal organisations.

It even has a base in Canada, where gangster Goldy Brar is based.

With its vast network the Bishnoi gang has, so far, murdered with impunity; the most recent killing was ex-Maharashtra minister Baba Siddique.

Within India the gang is known to be involved in murder and arms trafficking, and extortion of money from high-profile targets like Punjabi singers, the liquor mafia, other prominent businessmen. Its activities are enforced by an army of around 700 hitmen.
